Try this sample recipe from the 80-20 Cookbook....

Tofu and Soy-Based Smoothies - Serves 1-2

A smoothie is a wonderfully easy way to incorporate tofu into your life. Pour smoothies into plastic popsicle holders for a refreshing summer time snack or to have as a dessert instead of ice cream.

 

The perfect tofu shake starts with:

½ cup

dessert or soft tofu, plain flavour 125 mL
½ to 1 cup ice cubes 125-250 mL

then add any of the following:

Orange Banana Smoothie

1 cup orange juice 250 mL
1 frozen banana 1

Per serving: 144 Calories; Carbohydrate 18.5 g; Protein 4.4 g; Fat 2.2 g; Fibre 1.7 g.

Sweet Tart Smoothie

1 cup grape juice 250 mL
½ cup frozen cranberries 125 mL
1-2 tsp sugar 5-10 mL

Per serving: 138 Calories; Carbohydrate 27.7 g; Protein 3.7 g; Fat 1.8 g; Fibre 1 g.
