Sinead Feeney

Registered Dietitian

Sinead Feeney is a Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Consultant with a background in sports nutrition, acute care and community nutrition. As a member of the Eating for Energy team, she specializes in one-on-one counseling with a variety of clientele, assisting with issues such as weight management, sports nutrition, eating disorders, digestive problems, celiac disease, diabetes, heart disease, seniors nutrition, and meal planning/cooking.
Sinead completed her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics degree at the University of British Columbia and her Dietetic internship at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver. Certified in FOODSAFE, she is a member of Dietitians of Canada, and the College of Dietitians of BC.

Sinead has participated in numerous conferences and has presented various nutrition seminars. She has presented for Sun Run Clinics, BCRPA conference, sports teams, business', seniors homes, university students and health professionals. She continues to be a Shop Smart tour leader for Save on Foods, assisting individuals with food and nutrition questions and navigation around the supermarket.
Sinead’s interest in sports nutrition stems from her own background as a Metro soccer player, field hockey player and recreational runner, biker and swimmer. She is a certified swimming instructor and has coached a variety of age groups. Sinead also developed and facilitated a Sports Nutrition Seminars course at UBC, and has taken a variety of sports nutrition courses at the University of Queensland in Australia. She has written for Adventurous Magazine on various sports nutrition topics including optimal hydration, vegetarian athletes and pre/post event nutrition.
Sinead has taught a variety of cooking classes for the Healthy Heart Lipid Clinic at St. Paul's and for various other interest groups. Sinead has a passion for food, developing new recipes and making healthy eating nutritious and delicious. Sinead believes in looking at the whole self when it comes to healthy eating and living. She sincerely wants her clients to succeed and meet their goals, and puts 100% into her counseling sessions and seminars. Sinead walks the talk by staying active, eating great food and enjoying life!
