Ask a Dietitian
"Diana, just a quick heads up to let you know we are still using your cookbook and the guys will often be heard saying what would Diana say about this or that....really good feed back... I made your potato salad and the oriental coleslaw on Sat. for a family luncheon and had rave reviews so thanks again."

Although not the most popular beverage for many people these days, there still remain many good reasons to drink milk. Here are just a few…
1- Milk is still the best and most reliable source of calcium in the diet. To keep our bones healthy, we need approximately 1000-1500 milligrams of calcium per day. One cup of milk supplies about 250-300 milligrams.

3- Milk supplies riboflavin – a B vitamin needed to keep the skin, eyes and nerve cells healthy. Riboflavin also helps release energy in the body.
4- Milk supplies potassium – a mineral needed for fluid balanced in the body.
5- Milk supplies a good dose of Vitamin A needed for healthy skin and eyes.
6- Milk supplies protein needed to build and repair muscle and other body tissue.
7- Milk is a source of carbohydrate and makes a good beverage for athletes.
